Ashvina Amavasya 2025 falls on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Comes just before Navratri. A spiritual cleansing day before the nine nights of Goddess Durga's worship. Amavasya (new moon) is the most important day for honoring departed ancestors through Pitru Tarpan, Shradh, and acts of charity.

Significance
