Significance
Observing all 12 Masik Shivaratris in a year is considered equivalent to observing Maha Shivaratri. The night of Chaturdashi is when Lord Shiva's energy is most accessible. Night-long vigil and worship on this night gradually purifies the soul across lifetimes.

- Fasting during the day and performing night-long vigil (jagaran)
- Abhishekam of Shiva Lingam with milk, water, honey, and bhasma
- Chanting Om Namah Shivaya through the night
- Offering Bel (Bilva) leaves, dhatura, and white flowers
- Breaking fast the next morning after sunrise puja
