Mokshada Ekadashi 2025 falls on Monday, December 1, 2025, during Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month. Also celebrated as Gita Jayanti — the day Lord Krishna delivered the Bhagavad Gita to Arjuna on the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Ekadashi is the 11th lunar day dedicated to Lord Vishnu — fasting on this day purifies the body and soul.

Significance
Observing Mokshada Ekadashi is one of the 24 sacred Ekadashi vrats prescribed in Hindu scriptures. Each Ekadashi carries unique spiritual benefits. Devotees fast from grains and beans, worship Lord Vishnu, and break the fast on the following Dwadashi tithi.
Rituals & Traditions
- Observing fast from sunrise to next day sunrise (nirjala or phalahar)
- Worshipping Lord Vishnu with tulsi leaves, flowers, and incense
- Reciting Vishnu Sahasranama and Ekadashi Vrat Katha
- Staying awake through the night (jagaran) with bhajans and meditation
- Breaking the fast during Dwadashi tithi the next morning
