Sarva Pitru Amavasya 2025 falls on Saturday, August 23, 2025. The most important Amavasya for ancestral worship. Falls during or after Pitru Paksha. If one can observe only one Shradh in the year, it should be on this day. Amavasya (new moon) is the most important day for honoring departed ancestors through Pitru Tarpan, Shradh, and acts of charity.
